12/30/2023 0 Comments Legends pinball vpxYou can also see that in lieu of a Vibs I am using a 2nd monitor that attaches to the front of my back box that I can remove with a single bungee type strap. Funhouse loaded in the front end correctly but as soon as I started the game, it rotated 90 and looked to be windowed. The included game that comes in the installer package, Leprechaun King, loaded and played perfectly. When I did, I added one table which was Funhouse. I have installed the PinUp Popper Baller Installer. Keep the ALPs OTG setting Main Display and 90 degrees. Most tables I have added to my system in VPX and Future Pinball are configured to a landscape orientation. You can (configure) rotate your display output within VPX, FX3, etc. Worth the investment and fairly easy to install. You will need the HDMI switch board supplied by AtGames to leverage your backglass. Short answer and maybe more to your question, keep your monitor configuration for the ALP in landscape mode for all ALP connected monitors. Hence, my configurations may be a bit different than what you will want. I have customized my backbox and replaced the Legends Pinball backglass to add a third monitor, additional speakers, and lighting effects. Provides a really nice interface for you to access all your tables vs having to change between applications (VPX, FX3, Future Pinball). Just follow the guides for adding new tables to Pinup Popper and also to the guides for adding tables to VPX and Future Pinball. You will need to do some updates and additional configuration from there, but will work well for most tables out of the box. Just follow the installation guide by Nailbuster, very good. It also installs the dB2S server you will want to display the backglass and DMD on the backglass of the Legends Pinball. It will complete a basic monitor setup configuration through the install process. I found an easy way to get set up is to use the Pinup Popper Baller Installer. I have the legends pinball table and run FX3, VPX, Future Pinball, and Wicked Pinball very successfully. Thank you!Įdit: The Degree settings -90/0/90 on the HDMI selector appears to be changing the orientation of the view I see without actually changing the monitor orientation from Landscape to Portrait, or vice-versa, if that makes sense?Įdited by johnsland8, 17 January 2022 - 04:55 PM. Any thoughts or insight on this would be appreciated. If I have it set to 90, shouldn't my screen be rotating 90 from the display settings? Could this be some defect in the machine? Or am I doing something wrong? I'm holding off setting up VPX because I want to make sure I have this sorted so as not to cause additional problems with setup. This got me thinking, that third setting in the HDMI channel screen on the ALP is not doing anything. It doesn't fit the screen correctly and the graphics are distorted. But, when I launch FX3, the game loads in the same orientation - sideways. Which makes sense since the monitor in the cabinet is turned sideways. My problem/confusion is that when I have the display in landscape mode, the screen on my legends table is sideways, so I have to stand off to the side to navigate easier. Researching to avoid having to switch back and forth between portrait and landscape modes for FX3 and VPX, I find someone that says also to set up FX3 in landscape mode and use the same settings I have listed above. Getting ready to set up VPX, the tutorial I watched says to put main display in landscape mode. Plus, having the monitor in portrait mode makes it a lot easier to navigate menus when not in game play. My HDMI settings on the ALP are OTG / Main Display / 90. Following a tutorial setting it up for the first time, I put my playfield monitor (main monitor) in portrait mode. I'm primarily playing FX3 games through my PC/Steam. Brief background: Just recently got a Legends Pinball table.
